Day Out With the Roommate

My second blog post in two days, once school starts I doubt they will be this frequent, but it is nice for nowJ.  Today was an amazing day J I woke up at like 5:30 am without an alarm and without feeling tired….it was crazy; maybe it’s because the sun rises so much earlier here. But anyways…my roommate and I went to the mall in order to pick me up a cell phone so I can text people that I meet here. We went to the mall to get it, and it was the biggest mall I’ve ever seen. There is a river that runs between one part of the mall and the other, and you can rent a kayak and row down the river if you want…this place was massive…it makes Opry Mills look miniature. From there we drove down to a farmer’s market type place where she gets her fruits and vegetables. The market was literally right beside the farm where all the produce was harvested and all the milk and cheeses were produced….it was amazing!! And delicious!! We took all of our groceries home, had some lunch and took a road trip up Glass House Mountain, a tourist drive. It was so pretty J you could look out your window and see the mountains in the distance and the rolling hills that were farms in the foreground…it was breathtaking…my pictures don’t even do it justice. From where we parked at the top of the mountain, we looked out over the area and then took a lovely stroll through a rainforestJ yes a rainforest….on a mountaintop…it was so cool!!! Inside the rainforest I got so many pictures…I won’t be able to post them all on my blog, but they will all go in a folder on Facebook. They have some of the largest trees I have ever seen! And some of the tallest. We saw a Rock Wallaby while we were in the rainforest, and a salamander of sorts…we thought he might’ve found the red focus light on my camera a little  threatening, because he kept inching closer to me….but he was very photogenicJ. After all the adventure, we came home and had a relaxing movie night J some things never change no matter where you are.
